Want to Capture the Sun in a Jar?

In-Stock-Magazine-Sun-A-JarWell it’s a strange thing to want to do but… if you are looking to wield the power of the sun in a jar, then you should definitely check out Think Geek’s “Sun and Moon Jars.” These frosted jars contain three solar-powered LED lights that, at night, give off the appearance of sunlight (or moonlight) radiating from within the jar. To add convenience to awesomeness, there is a light sensor inside the water-proof jar, allowing the LED lights to come on automatically when it gets dark. The jar can also be placed outside in any weather, so you can impress your neighbors with your sun-wielding prowess.

This sweet gadget is not without its limitations. The jar needs direct sunlight to function, so you’ll have to leave it outside on a porch or in front of a bright window for hours before it can function as made.
However, these still make awesome decorations for gardens, night lights for the kids, or just desk lamps for when you want to tell people that you’ve captured sprites and you’re keeping them hostage.

The Sun and Moon jars com in Orange (sun-colored), Blue (moon-colored), and Pink Moon (just for fun). They cost a hefty $34.99, however, they are completely wireless, and insanely durable.
